Arlene is a London based Musical Director, Composer/Arranger, Keyboard Programmer and Pianist. After graduating from the University of Glasgow with an MA (Hons) in Music and Theatre Studies she completed her Musical Direction Postgraduate Diploma at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. She has also recently qualified as a Vocal Health First Aider.
Arlene has worked as Musical Director in London, Scotland, Switzerland and the USA. She was recently MD of SIX (West End & UK Tour) as well as MD for the Barn Theatre's Marry Me a Little and Selladoor's Little Miss Sunshine (UK Tour). She has experience coaching young people and performers in training. Companies she has worked with include National Youth Theatre, Mountview, Italia Conti and several children's performing arts schools.
As a composer, Arlene has experience writing for film, theatre and promotional campaigns. Recent composition credits include Lost At Home, and BUSKING: A Verbatim Musical. Arlene's work has also been featured in theatre festivals and her arrangements have been performed internationally.
