ABOUT

Arlene is a London based Musical Director, Composer/Arranger, Keyboard Programmer and Pianist. After graduating from the University of Glasgow with an MA (Hons) in Music and Theatre Studies she completed her Musical Direction Postgraduate Diploma at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. She has also recently qualified as a Vocal Health First Aider.

Arlene has worked as Musical Director in London, Scotland, Switzerland and the USA. Arlene is currently Assistant MD of The Baker's Wife (Menier Chocolate Factory). She was recently Music Supervisor of Unfortunate: The Untold Story of Ursula The Sea Witch. And has previously worked as MD of SIX (West End & UK Tour) and Assistant MD of We Will Rock You at the London Coliseum. Other MD credits includenthe European premiere of Head Over Heels,  the Barn Theatre's Marry Me a Little and Selladoor's Little Miss Sunshine (UK Tour).  She has experience coaching young people and performers in training. Companies she has worked with include National Youth Theatre, Mountview, Italia Conti and several children's performing arts schools. 

As a composer, Arlene has experience writing for film, theatre and promotional campaigns. Arlene's work has also been featured in theatre festivals and her arrangements have been performed internationally.
